1940s Life Size Papier Maché Peacock by Carlos Del Conde

Beautiful life size papier maché sculpture of a peacock perched on a brass frame by Mexican artist Carlos Del Conde known for its sculptures of papier maché of colourful exotic birds. Carlos del conde also collaborated with the Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante also renowned for the for its brass and copper sculptures of exotic birds. The peacock is securely perched on a brass frame, it is in great condition with some wear at the bottom of the tail. The sculpture is signed and number “Carlos Del Conde 053/350”.
