Pair of Circa 1860 Large French Napoleon III Large Carved Gilt Oval Mirrors

A pair of large French Napoleon lll oval mirrors with giltwood frames and original glass, Circa 1860.
The crest holds elaborated carved wood roses and ribbons, the bottom of the oval holds a very elegant ribbon tie with a flower bud. The frame is surrounded by carved wood beads and faint leaf carvings. The frame has some cracks and loss of gilt commensurate with their age. The original glass shows black spots of ageing mercury which adds to their character. The mirrors are in very good condition overall with sturdy frames, one of the mirrors has 5 scratches on the glass.
